Vascular Technicians

We are fortunate in having Simon Ward and Darren Cheal at Sussex Medical Chambers. They are two of less than 120 Accredited Vascular Scientists with the Society for Vascular Technology of GB and Ireland.
Their area of expertise is non-invasive vascular imaging & Doppler - this can be broken down into: Carotid artery imaging around TIA/stroke Imaging of suspected aneurysm (aortic, iliac, femoral or popliteal) Assessment of the severity and extent of venous incompetence Imaging for suspected occlusive arterial disease The bulk of their work is varicose vein assessments for the vascular surgeons, none of whom will operate without imaging first
