Clients Guide

Sussex Medical Chambers recognises its duty of care to its clients. The Client’s Guide sets out the way in which Sussex Medical Chambers manages its practice with the aim of ensuring safety and quality of service. This information is reviewed at least once a year; the review details are recorded and monitored (this document's review details are recorded at the bottom of each page). This guide is designed to give you access to the information that we use to plan, prepare and provide the services and care on offer at The Chambers We have tried to keep the guide clear and straight-forward but there is a degree of jargon required that we cannot avoid. We apologise if this makes the document difficult to understand; please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions. This guide is a requirement of the Care Standards Act 2000. A copy of the Act and its provisions is available for inspection on request. Statement of Purpose Sussex Medical Chambers

Sussex Medical Chambers recognises its duty of care to clients in its care. This Statement of Purpose sets out the way in which Susssex Medical Chambers manages its practice with the aim of ensuring safety and quality of service. The Statement is drawn up according to Schedule I of the Care Standards Act Regulations. (§ 6) This Statement informs the individual how Sussex Medical Chambers implements the policies, procedures and protocols in place to ensure the safety and efficacy of the services on offer. This Statement relates to the National Minimum Standards’ criteria as defined by the Care Standard’s Act 2000. Complaints Procedure for clients

Guide to making a Complaint The designated Complaints Officer is Jane Blair This folder contains all the information and forms that you will need to make a formal complaint. A formal complaint is one that you wish to be handled officially. Complaints that can be resolved informally by talking with a staff member, or the Clinic Manager may not need to be entered into the complaints process. Practicing Privileges Policy for Clinicians

This policy defines the basis for the granting of practicing privileges (PPs) to medical practitioners not employed by the Clinic. This policy is emplaced by the signing of a written agreement between the medical practitioner to whom privileges are to be granted and the Clinic. This policy defines the terms and conditions that relate to that agreement. This policy defines the pre- and post- employment checks which will be carried out before a health care professional is granted PPs and which include: - download document
