Botulinum Toxin

Botulinum toxin is a naturally occurring protein that has been used in the medical world for over 30 years. Facial lines occur by repeated use of the facial muscles and Botulinum toxin can be used to prevent lines developing, as well as treat existing lines. Injections are given into the muscles, temporarily ‘putting them to sleep’ for a period of 3 -4 months. This effect is temporary and muscle movement will then slowly return.

It can be used to treat and prevent- frown lines, crow’s feet, mouth lines and neck lines.

Dermal Fillers

As skin ages it looses collagen and fat. This causes the skin to sag and develop lines. The hyaluronic acid in the fillers is a non-animal based product which works in harmony with the body’s own hyaluronic acid to plump out, hydrate and smooth the skin. Injections are given by a very fine needle just under the skin. A dental block local anaesthetic is given to eliminate any discomfort. Fillers last between 6-9 months.

They can be used to treat- frown lines, crow’s feet, mouth lines, nasal lines (plump out the deep lines from nose to the corners of the mouth). They can also be used to plump out lips, from a subtle enhanced lip line to a fuller pout.

Hyperhydrosis

Nerves using a chemical messenger acetylcholine stimulate glands such as those responsible for sweat production. Botulinum toxin is injected into the sweat glands where it blocks the release of acetylcholine and therefore reduces sweat production. The effect may last for up to 3-6 months.

It can be used to treat- armpits, palms, and forehead areas.

IAL System

The revolutionary IAL system is a non-animal based medical cosmetic treatment. The IAL system is a long-term treatment to improve skin quality, tone and texture. Improvements are seen over months. Using a criss-cross pattern of tiny injections of bio-degradable hyaluronic acid just under the skin, the product is smoothly distributed into the dermis to enhance collagen production and heal damaged skin. Treatments are recommended at 2 weekly intervals at first and then maintenance treatments every 3 months. The IAL system can be used on the skin of the- face, neck, décolleté and backs of the hands

Treatment prices start from £150 per treatment.

Sculptra

Sculptra is a deep dermal filler, used for sculpting and contouring the face. It has been used in plastic and reconstructive surgery for years. Sculptra is injected deep into the skin layer where it helps to stimulate new collagen production and plumps the skin from within. Normally 2 treatments are required and results are seen over 4-6 weeks and last up to 2 years. It is especially useful at treating fine lines and creases over the cheeks and also to lift droopy jowls and cheeks.

Glycolic peels

For a soother, brighter complexion, glycolic acid, derived from sugar cane, stimulates new skin growth by sloughing off the surface dead skin cells. This is a prescription only glycolic peel, licensed for physician use only. The skin needs to be prepared with home skin care mild glycolic acid products for 2 weeks before your first treatment. During the treatment the skin is painted with the peel, which is left on for 2 minutes and then washed off. You are able to go back to work straight after the treatment as the only effect may be slight rosy complexion. This is the perfect quick-fix skin brightener.
